wow, i haven’t posted on here in a minute.

lately i’ve just been focused on myself. genuinely focused on my wellbeing and my healing.

i’ve spent a lot of time growing spiritually. where im at right now is learning about attachments… and detaching from people/situations. not everything/everyone is worthy of attachment. and thats not a bad thing.

when you rid yourself of attachments, you are in turn riding yourself of expectations.

not every person is permanent. some come in your life to teach you a lesson, help you grow, inspire you, etc. take what you’ve gained and move on. not every person in your life is meant to stay. that isn’t a bad thing.

its also important to detach from situations. i’ve learned that i dont have to carry everything. i dont have to wear my problems on my sleeve. it is possible to detach (in a healthy way) and allow myself to move on.

so really, these last few months have been about moving on.

i’ve also stopped prioritizing men. after a long time relationship finally ending, i let myself be angry/sad for a few days then i picked myself up and moved the fuck on. i decided to not feed the situation, not feed my negative emotions. i decided to not dwell. i decided to be strong and live for myself. i decided that he, nor any other man, mattered. for once, i mattered. 100%. i mattered and thats it.

i have been genuinely happy these last few weeks. less stressed, less anxious, little to no depression. im finally taking control of my life.

i was never the problem.

you were the problem, you were your own problem.
